Cole Palmer signs long-term Manchester City contract

Midfielder commits to the Blues until 2029

Option to extend for a further year

Manchester City are delighted to announce that Cole Palmer has signed a new long-term contract with the Club. The midfielder has put pen to paper on a seven-year deal, with the option to extend for a further year, which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2029.

Palmer has been with City since he was eight years old and has progressed through the Club’s Academy system. He made his first-team debut in September 2020 and has since gone on to make 18 appearances for the Blues, scoring three goals.

Adept at operating both as an attacking midfielder and a striker, Palmer has seamlessly stepped into the spotlight following a number of injuries to senior stars. He has impressed with his performances, showing maturity beyond his years.

Palmer’s new contract is a reward for his hard work and dedication, and it is a sign of the Club’s faith in his ability. He is a key part of City’s plans for the future, and the Blues will be hoping that he can continue to develop and fulfil his potential.

Speaking about his new contract, Palmer said: “I’m really excited to have signed a new contract with City. I’ve been at the Club for a long time now and I feel like I’m part of the family here.

“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment and I’m learning a lot from the manager and the other players. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game and helping the team achieve success in the future.”
